All set to enter the Hidesign Art of Reuse contest :)

I made a leather bag

It had to happen! I set about designing a bag this Sunday and it turned out like a Macaron :) An original design made the old fashioned way - hand drafted, hand cut and hand stitched.

This was my first leather project and therefore, I worked out the design first on paper and then on cotton before I dared to cut the leather.

Little Yellow Embroidered Dress

And summer falls away to fall. Today, on my favorite sewing blog 'Sew Retro', I found this lovely yellow dress by TammyO. It is such a simple classy design, really. What tickles me more is that is made of embroidered fabric!
