Little Yellow Embroidered Dress

And summer falls away to fall. Today, on my favorite sewing blog 'Sew Retro', I found this lovely yellow dress by TammyO. It is such a simple classy design, really. What tickles me more is that is made of embroidered fabric!

Love it when my customers are happy!

I just love it when my customers are happy. Each sale is as exhiliriating as the first one I had in my store. As soon as a sale is through, I dig into my huge treasure chest (the one dad gifted me on my wedding day) and fish out the fabrics that are now spoken for. I measure and cut each one carefully and inspect it for any flaws. Then I wrap them up into a beautiful package (I love to receive beautifully wrapped things too) and send it on its way with lot of love and wishes that it will reach safely. Then I sit and twiddle my thumbs to see my feedbacks...oh! I do hit refresh button many times to see if any feedbacks are in :)

Look at that cuff!!

Hands Against Time Beadwoven Cuff by thebeadedlily

Here's what the designer had to say...

From the dawn of time man has pursued art, and this cuff is inspired by that pursuit. Millennia ago early man created marvelous creatures on walls and then signed the paintings with hand prints-- the oh so human, I Made This, or even sometimes, just, I Was Here.

Luscious Lace by onlyu

So sweet!...So innocent! This lacey white dress will be a favorite for special occasions, heirloom photographs, or just because your princess wants to feel BEAUTIFUL! Row upon row of ribbon and laces take this simple frock from ordinary to STUNNING!

The Shopper - Tanya Whelan, Hobo, Purse, Tote, Diaper Bag by jjonni

This bag is absolutely awesome. So curvy and dramatic.
Would make a fantastic diaper bag or an amazing purse.

Six pleats on each side add some sass and help the bag keep a great shape when filled up. Lined in red kona cotton. 3 extra deep interior pockets. This bag has been double stitched throughout and triple stitched at all stress points. The shopper is fully lined and interfaced for structure. Closes with a magnetic snap.

Fall decorations

Fall is here! 2010 holidays season just began :) Well, for me that means I bring out my holiday bag to office. I am also thinking about colors for my table and is going to check out my fellow esty-ians shops (http://www.esty.com/) to see what they are coming up with. Oh, before I look out, I must say that I am seriously thinking about making a table runner with my Pumpkin Spice Embroidered Cotton.

Rediscovering Fabrics

I rediscovered my passion in fabrics last year. After 10 years in a corporate job, I decided to bring back some fun into my life. About the same time I discovered this amazing market place for all things handmade - ETSY.COM. To see so many fellow creative people at one place was so overwhelming. Sort of like I escaped into a world of wizadry from a staid muggle world. All the fabrics I have been collecting over the years soon started finding their way into my etsy store - Fabric Treasury. My store has fabrics in cute yummy colors and embroideries which would be wonderful for one of a kind special projects. Come, peek into my store at http://www.etsy.com/shop/fabrictreasury to have some fun with OOAK fabrics :)
